Youth Climate Conference

Toowoomba Youth are currently organising a youth climate conference.

Have you been interested in Conservation but not know where to go, who to ask, how to make a difference? Then you are just one of many Toowoomba youths enthused but unactive.

It is us who will suffer the effects of climate change - We must act now!

“The Youth Climate Action Conference -Toowoomba’s Youth for a Sustainable Future - is all about creating an amazing opportunity for Toowoomba’s youth to be involved, educated and active about our environment. It will be a chance for interested and enthusiastic young people to release their concern about the future of our city into real action.  Young people will be encouraged to voice their thoughts, fears and hopes on climate change,  politics and solutions. Young people who become involved will inspire each other in group discussion, inspire themselves by standing up for what they believe in and will help create a world we and future generations want to live in.” 

It is open to all secondary Schoolers or any interested youth applicants. The proceeding date is yet to be set but should fall in the last weeks of semester 1. The focus for the Conference is Youth education and real ACTION. There will be inspirational speakers from around Australia talking on specified topics and issues. Our real aim is not to inform, rather unite and create a space for interested youth to think on one cause; the Climate, the Environment. Several talks and many workshops and group discussions will take place in which knowledge can be shared, solutions postulated, and action configurated amongst Toowoomba's youth for Toowoomba and beyond...
