Toowoomba Landcare has a wealth of environmental knowledge in the local and regional area. They organise regular tree planting, weeding, direct actions that any member of the community can be involved in. Browse their site, newsletters and events lists. This is a great organisation to become involved with and a great window to the difference you want to make now.

    HOPE: Householder's Options to Protect the Environment - HOPE AUSTRALIA 

     

    Hope often publishes a newsletter which is available by membership or from the City Library. Their focus is on raising general public awareness and disseminating information on waste minimisation and the conservation of energy and resources. National HOPE organisation is based in Toowoomba and we have strong links with them. So lets get started in getting the public aware of their impact on our earth.

    Friends of the Earth has a national body as well as local branches - including one in Brissy. Check out their site - it has some great info on conservation and climate change issues as well as news and events happening around the place.

    AYCC - Austalian Youth Climate Coalition

    The AYCC are one of the most inspiring national organisations around! They are doing a national scale version of what we are - a non partisan coalition designed to mobilise a generation of young people around climate change issues - to stop the climate crsis.

     

    Based in Sydney - they can offer a lot of support and resources!
